The Story
Denise was an eight-year-old girl who had a near-death experience during an emergency appendectomy for appendicitis. She suffered from stomach pain and fever, leading to surgery under anesthesia. During the experience, Denise floated out of her body in the operating room. She heard the doctor talking to her mother and saw his appearance before meeting him. Then she saw a beautiful light, and an angel with long light hair and a white gown appeared. The angel guided her telepathically, making her feel safe and loved. They floated to a place with colorful flowers, a creek, and a bridge, which they crossed. A brighter light approached, filling her with immense love. She saw an image of Jesus and begged to go home with him. He hugged her and told her she must return to love and forgive everyone who hurts her, as it was her important job. She agreed, and he promised to bring her home later. The angel guided her back, and she returned to her body. After the NDE, Denise kept the experience mostly secret because adults denied it. She shared it with a kind nun who said she was special and had God's work to do. The experience helped her endure abuse from her mother by giving her a sense of God's love and purpose to forgive, making her forever thankful.
