The Story
Açucena was a 27-year-old woman who experienced a near-death experience during surgery. She had coagulopathy and was diagnosed with leukemia. On the day of her surgery, she felt nervous but saw a beautiful blue sky, which calmed her. During the surgery, she lost consciousness and found herself in a bright room with people around her. She felt immense peace and love, forgetting her worries about her children. As she was called back to her body, she felt pain returning. After the experience, she gained a new perspective on life and felt a sense of safety and love that changed her outlook.
“was that in the photo afterwards I saw that there are also three spots of light in the back as if the three smaller spots of light had been aligned and this bigger one right in front of me, so it was very beautiful to see, you know,”
