The Story
Margarete Pereira da Silva was 12 years old when she had a near-death experience (NDE) due to bronchopneumonia. She felt short of breath and became weak. As she realized she was dying, she saw a fog and felt a presence beside her. She floated and saw herself in a coffin surrounded by family. A voice asked if she wanted to stay or return. She initially chose to stay but changed her mind after seeing her mother cry. She felt a force pulling her back and returned to her body. After the NDE, she felt a new sense of purpose and certainty about life, believing her experience was real and transformative.
