Is Your Ego Blocking Your Spiritual Growth? Reverend David Maginley on Human Consciousness
What Researchers Found
The Story
Reverend David McInley experienced a near-death experience (NDE) after collapsing during a church service due to a tumor. During the NDE, he found himself on a grassy hill, feeling a deep desire to reach a tree at the top. He felt a sense of unity with everything around him and encountered a kind, masculine being who told him he had to return to his life. After the experience, he felt a longing for the state of wholeness and love he had felt. This NDE transformed his understanding of spirituality, leading him to believe that God is love and that our purpose is to love and be loved. He now integrates these insights into his work as a hospital chaplain, helping others navigate their own experiences of suffering and transformation.
