The Story
Renato was a good swimmer who experienced a near-death experience while swimming to an island in Brazil in 1995. He swam to a buoy but became exhausted and sank underwater. While submerged, he felt cold and then lost consciousness. He found himself in a dark place and saw a light. He then observed himself swimming from above, about 4 to 5 meters away. A voice told him to put his foot on the ground. When he did, he was surprised to find the water at knee height and swam back to the beach with renewed energy. After the experience, Renato felt a sense of vigor and believed he had entered another reality. He reflected on the experience and felt it was miraculous, leading to a deeper understanding of life.
“in front of the light of that light that I saw, I felt something passing in the light but I couldn't identify it and after that I found myself seeing myself swimming with one, seeing myself outside my body”
