The Story
Roberta Gomes was seven years old when she was hit by a bus, which caused her to have a cardiac arrest during surgery. In her first NDE, she left her body and found herself in a different hospital surrounded by beings of light who reassured her. She felt peace and did not experience pain during this time. After waking from a coma lasting 11 days, she had a second NDE where she confronted her feelings of anger and pain related to the accident. After the NDEs, Roberta experienced a transformation in her understanding of life and death. She became more sensitive to the spiritual world but still struggled with fear of death due to negative experiences after her NDEs.
