The Story
Márcio was 19 years old when he nearly drowned in the sea at Recreio dos Bandeirantes during a carnival outing. He was caught in a strong current while trying to help a man who appeared to be drowning. During the experience, he felt detached from his body and saw flashes of his life, followed by a bright white light. He then observed his own body at a wake, surrounded by family and friends. After this experience, he returned to the sea and was rescued by a man with a board. Following the NDE, Márcio noticed an increased sensitivity to others' feelings and a deeper understanding of consciousness. He believes that life continues after death and that material possessions are important but should not be the main focus in life.
