The Story
Leila Resende had a near-death experience (NDE) during surgery after suffering from a fractured rib and pleural effusion. She fell and did not realize she had a broken rib for 19 days. After being anesthetized, she left her body and saw herself from above. She traveled through a tunnel and experienced a garden, music, and light. She felt accompanied by unseen presences who shared wisdom with her. Leila did not want to return but was told she needed to go back. She saw her husband praying for her during the surgery. After awakening, she felt pain but also joy from her experience. The NDE gave her a new perspective on life, making her feel more connected and less afraid of death.
