Christian Survives Two NDEs: His Heavenly Encounters | NDE

The Story
Craig, a Christian deacon and Sunday school teacher, had two near-death experiences caused by vagal responses to anesthesia during surgeries. The first occurred in 1982 at age 18 after his sixth surgery. He floated out of his body into darkness, felt hits on his chest from behind, slid back through his mouth and nose, and returned to sleep. His sternum hurt afterward. The second happened in 1998 after a vasectomy. He woke in recovery, fell asleep, then stopped breathing. He moved upward into unusual darkness like a tunnel, arrived in a grassy pasture with hills, saw people in shiny white robes whom he knew were deceased Christians. He met Terren, a recently deceased church member, who spoke to him, though he forgot the words. He explored briefly, concerned for his distressed wife, then moved backward through the tunnel, heard voices, and reentered his body. He struggled to breathe for 45 minutes and was revived after 5-6 minutes. Afterward, Craig suffered sternum pain from CPR and ongoing depression from returning to Earth. He feels bored with life but uses his experiences to witness about salvation through Jesus, teaching others about heaven and the gospel.

Strong evidence of clinical death from medical records, but no veridical perceptions from impossible sensory access; all reported details like hearing voices, feeling arm lifted, and staff actions are consistent with potential normal sensory input from the recovery gurney or semi-conscious state, with only vague self-reported confirmations.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
