The Story
Dr. Lawrence Brock had a near-death experience in the 1970s after driving drunk and high from a party, causing a severe car crash that cracked open his head. During the NDE, he floated out of his body above the smashed car. He saw his injured body on the ground with a police officer nearby but felt calm. He experienced great love and knew family issues were okay. Behind him, he saw a bright white light with a radiating being. A voice from the light, which he later identified as Jesus or God, said he had to go back because his father wanted him to stay. He returned to his body and woke up two to three days later. After the NDE, Brock gained full memory of the event. His hands warmed when touching people, and his intuition increased. He moved back east, met spiritual teachers and people with NDEs, and studied Sufism and death. He left electrical contracting for a career in polarity therapy, healing, and spiritual counseling. He earned a doctorate in Spiritual Science and now helps clients with past lives and manifesting.
“i had him drive me back home so i could go back there the next day and pick up”
This account describes an OBE during a severe car crash with head trauma leading to 2-3 days unconsciousness, observing the body against a tree with a police officer and cracked head from an elevated vantage. However, the details are moderately specific but predictable for a crash scene, with no mentioned verification of unique OBE perceptions or timely pre-verification reporting, limiting evidential strength.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
