He merged with the being, visited a Crystal City, met 12 beings and a 13th, and saw boxes of knowledge showing future events. After the NDE, Brinkley transformed from a violent person to a compassionate caregiver. He worked 45 years in palliative care, assisted over 34,000 veterans at bedside, founded the Twilight Brigade for hospice volunteers, wrote books, and focused on end-of-life service without fear of death.
