The Story
José Maurício was a construction contractor from Niterói, Brazil. In 1994, he experienced severe headaches and nausea, leading to the discovery of a tumor in his head. He underwent surgery, and while under anesthesia, he had a near-death experience (NDE). During the NDE, he felt a sense of peace and encountered a calming woman who provided comfort. After the experience, he returned to consciousness feeling transformed and no longer afraid of death. The NDE gave him a new perspective on life, leading to a greater appreciation for his family and a sense of purpose in his life.
