The Story
George G. Ritchie was a 20-year-old soldier in 1943. He suffered from pneumonia in a Virginia hospital. His body stopped breathing, and doctors declared him dead before he could join World War II. During the NDE, Ritchie left his body and saw it lying limp on the bed. He tried to talk to nurses, but they could not see or hear him. An invisible force lifted him and carried him quickly through walls and over landscapes. He viewed his hometown as a ghost. Then he encountered a bright, conscious light full of love and wisdom. The light reviewed his entire life, showing understanding without judgment. It guided him to see lost souls stuck in old lives, spirits reliving battles, and a pure space of peace. The light asked what he had done with his life, stressing that actions matter. He felt peace, love, and forgiveness with enhanced vision and alertness. After returning to his body with a shock, Ritchie revived, shocking the nurse. He changed deeply, knowing death is a doorway to greater truth. He now believes people are here to grow, love, and help others.
