Why do people from different religions encounter different beings — Jesus, Hindu gods, ancestors?

“Do you think they see Jesus? No, they see Vishnu, they see Krishna, they see Shiva. Okay? So wherever you are, your experience is no less valid. So because you're in a different nation and have a different upbringing, again, God could present any way that he, she wants to. He and she, not or I said he and she as universal one.”59:47

“So how about people that say that they see Jesus or Buddha or somebody else in that place?”37:43

“time and come back non-religious because their NDE didn't support their religious beliefs. They might see Jesus. They might see God. They might see figures that align with their religious beliefs, but then those figures tell them that their certain aspects of their religious beliefs are are wrong and that it's actually all about love, not about following the religion. I speak to people all the time who tell me that I saw such and such religious figure show up and I didn't know who they were because I had never learned about them”23:21

“Yeah. You said that they're going to see Jesus, but another version here is that everybody sees on the other side what they believe they're going to see. Let's say a Buddhist is going to see Buddha, a Hindu is going to see Krishna, for example. A Christian is going to see Christ. And Jewish people may see Moses, who knows? Do you think they're going to see Jesus still or not?”41:59

“have heard people describe seeing all sorts [music] of religious figures in heaven. Not Shiva, but I've heard people who saw Buddha, who saw Muhammad, who saw Jesus, Moses, Peter, the guy. Now, you'll be met by, you know, they create an environment to [music] make you feel comfortable, you know. So, if you're a Buddhist, maybe you'll meet Buddha. If you like nature, they'll bring you into a garden. I've heard it explained by scientists that, you know, when you die, the the little cones in your eyes that”2:20

“Um, sure. Why do you think there's such variety in NDEs? Like, why do some people meet Buddha and some people meet Jesus?”26:13

“Some see nature, some people, some souls see their relatives, their grandmother, some just see some kind of beautiful lighting, some see Jesus or Buddha, and you saw all this architecture.”47:21

“And this can be experiences where people have encounters with a visual experience of perhaps the saint from their tradition, or the prophet from their tradition, whether that be Buddha, whether that be Jesus, whether that be Krishna, or it could be, um, angels, it could be visions of realities behind the universe.”42:21

“So, why would Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, even agnostics and atheists see Jesus in their near-death experience?”2:24

“encounter Jesus or the father. Some people might say they encounter a vague nondispirit being of light that tells them a bunch of different things that they come back with. Other people will have, you know, these fantastical experiences, but they don't encounter any entities that specifically identify themselves as God or an angel or this or that. So, you know, thing things vary widely, but for me, I try to break it down into five questions. Like, what is the what is the source? If there's some kind of a being giving them special”7:50

“mind and your heart, um you may see religious figures because it's made to make you feel comfortable into the transition. If you're a Muslim, you may see Allah. If you're a Buddhist, you may say Buddha. If you're a Christian, you may see Christ. If you you understand these are all to make you feel comfortable because even my dead mother she had been dead for about 3 weeks maybe but she didn't know how to come to the earth anymore she needed an escort so it takes time for different people to adjust some longer some shorter”46:59

“There are stories of encounters with Jesus on the other side by people who are non-Christian, who may even be Buddhist or Muslim. And of course, Jesus is a powerful figure, a prophet of sorts for most other religions too. They seem to be able to include him on that on that level.”10:27

“And you will see your Jesus. When I say your Jesus, I believe he's all the same person, but there are so many religions and so many nationalities and so many people that in order for everyone to have a connection with him, they have to see who they were taught to believe.”19:47

“So, you know, even Hindus and Muslims see Jesus, you know, because he is a true spiritual being, okay? That's what, that's what I was going to ask you next. Let's say if you lived in India or in somewhere in East Asia, you never heard of Jesus, do you think you would have seen Jesus and recognized Jesus right away?”36:33

“Any thoughts on why some people see light and some people will see Jesus or a religious figure?”31:51

“that's how I would imagine the Holy Spirit to be. I realized, um, much later on that that a lot of people who experience near-death experiences or even out-of body experiences like mine are given things that um are familiar to them, are shown love by entities or beings that are ones that they resonate with. Um, for me it was Jesus, for others it may be Buddha or yoga, it could be anybody really. But when you go through this type of experience, spirit is always so good at making sure that you feel comforted and”41:43
