If God is real and loving, why is there so much horrific suffering in the world?

“When I was feeling no pain, I was feeling no harm. I was feeling pure peace and saturated with love. I can only feel all those NDEs, how it correlates to this one last NDE I had with God, and the rest of them, the Lord was to me just holding me in His arms. And how it correlated so well with the true love of God and the NDE I just described.”20:23

“A lot of times people will ask me, If God or if the Light is so good and so loving, why is there suffering here?”33:44

“But for me, the legitimate near-death experience, a full crossing over experience, you know, they'll always come back with one similar uniformity, and that is God is love. God is love. That I've never understood quite like that, quite like in my own life, no matter how much people loved me. God is the ultimate unconditional source of love, and God loves me for my inner being, not as much as my own outer doing. And that's it.”27:54

And they consistently come back saying two things: God is love, and how we love or treat one another is what matters most to God. And that's what we have to understand, what motivates God and all He does, and even the things that confuse us, which I'm hoping to explore a lot of as we travel in this podcast together, is love. Love is what motivates what God does, and when He doesn't act, and sometimes that's hard to see. But I think it's also what near-death experiencers are confirming today.”18:52

Many NDEers say when they cross over, that suddenly they feel they have the answer to every question, every concern they ever had, and, uh, perfect knowledge might be the moment at which we forgive God as well for all the suffering caused by his creation. Uh, there is a, there is perhaps a recognition on God's part that, um, the challenges we're given, um, the hardships we face, may be, um, a test that we have to forgive God for. First and foremost, uh, above all.”27:42

And your story is an example of some pretty pretty horrific suffering from an earthly perspective, from a bodily perspective. And you mentioned in your near-death experience that you saw that Jesus had the power to lift Sam's hand. And at that point, you didn't want him to because you were in heaven. But why is it that God and Jesus allow this type of suffering to take place? Do you have any insights on that?”46:09

“I hear a lot, 'Why would God allow suffering?' And I think when you were there, you did get new insight. You were talking about your love, your husband, and you had had a lot of trouble in your relationship, and yet all you felt was love.”22:12

“Um, my NDE, my near-death experience, showed me the importance of unconditional love, not just for humankind but for myself as self-love. Leaving relationships I was involved in when they no longer served my highest good was part of that self-love. I'm no longer afraid of death, and I know the place I visited during my near-death experience was my heavenly home. I know where I'm going when I'm completing my earthly tasks. The world needs to know that they are infinitely and divinely loved and cared for, despite the chaos and despair in the world, and that begins with me shining my light and healing hurting souls in this life. “You know, whatever our purpose or plan is, I'm not here to say that's for everyone. But to be abused like that, that's not, that's not God's plan for us, I'm sure. And He's made that very clear for me because after I felt that love in that near-death experience, I realized, well, there is so much more that I'm missing, you know, I'm missing something. And I really felt like I found it. And it just saved me from all these forms of in my life. It was just, it was beautiful, amazing, and incredible. So that's how it started.
