Kevin's NDE: The Entity That Said 'Do Not Worship Me'

A 59-year-old man dies from anaphylaxis and meets an intelligence that rewrites everything he thought he knew about God

Kevin was sitting at the patio table in his backyard, watching his daughter's lab puppy and the free-ranging chickens, when the wasp landed on his left elbow. The sting burned immediately. Within minutes, his heart rate spiked to 150 beats per minute. His wife called 911. As his blood pressure plummeted and his muscles began to contract, squeezing the air from his lungs, Kevin looked at his wife and whispered that he loved her. He told his oldest daughter, standing in the bedroom doorway, how proud he was of her. And then, next to his daughter, a tunnel appeared. It was floating a foot off the ground, gray-bordered, churning. And something was inside it, waiting.

Kevin's NDE: The Entity That Said 'Do Not Worship Me'

The Sting

July 13, 2021, was a typical summer day in the country: sunny, hot, humid. Kevin had just returned from running errands in town, a 25-minute drive each way for gas and groceries. His wife and two daughters were sitting in the shade around the patio table, watching the new puppy and making sure it left the chickens alone. Kevin had been inside cleaning out the downstairs freezer, nearly finished, when he decided to take a break and join his family outside.

He'd only been sitting there a few minutes when he felt a sudden sharp pain in his left elbow. "Something stung me," he told his wife. She'd seen it: a wasp. It was gone before she could shoo it away. Kevin hadn't been stung by a bee or wasp since he was 12 years old. He had a bad feeling about this one. His elbow was burning badly, swollen to 4 inches around with a raised white spot in the center.

He went back inside to finish the cleaning job. It took about 10 minutes. As he washed up in the downstairs bathroom, he noticed the affected area seemed redder and angrier. He sat on the edge of the bed. His heart rate was elevated. He started counting: 150 beats per minute. Too fast. A fine sheen of sweat appeared on his skin.

When his wife came downstairs, Kevin told her he thought he was having a reaction. Could she get him the Benadryl? While she was gone, his condition deteriorated rapidly. His heart rate was beating so fast he could not count it accurately. He felt sweaty, jittery. Something was very wrong. When she returned, he told her to call 911.

A man sitting on the edge of a bed in a basement bedroom, his face pale, lips turning purple, as his wife stands beside him holding a phone. His muscles are contracting, squeezing the air from his lungs. His oldest daughter stands in the doorway, 5 feet in front of him.

The Goodbye

Kevin doesn't remember the questions the emergency dispatcher asked. He could feel his blood pressure start to drop and could feel his life start to drain away. He'd never felt absolute fear in his life, but he was feeling it now. He looked at his wife and said, "This is not good, honey. I am going to be leaving you alone."

His muscles in his entire body started to constrict, and it felt like the air was being squeezed out of his lungs. His wife told him later that all the color drained from him and his lips started to turn purple. When he looked at her again, all his fear released. All his concerns were directed toward her. He knew he had to say goodbye before it was too late. Softly, he was able to tell her how much he loved her.

Just then, his oldest daughter came into the room. She was standing about 5 feet in front of him, just left of the doorway. As soon as he saw her, he was able to tell her how proud he was of her and how much he loved her.

And then everything changed.

The Tunnel and the Shards

Next to his daughter, a round tunnel appeared beside her in the entryway. It was about 4 feet wide and 7 feet tall, suspended about a foot off the ground like it was floating. It had a dark gray border which was about 8 inches in width and seemed to be moving, like it was coming out of the tunnel and curling back on itself. As Kevin looked into the tunnel, it seemed to go on and on. He could see a sliver of white light at the end.

He was dumbfounded. He wanted to tell his family to look at the tunnel, but before he could move a muscle, he saw elongated diamond-shaped things that were about 4 inches in length shooting out of him. They were very slim, as thick as a piece of paper, reddish-brown in color and translucent. They appeared to be ridged in places, not a solid color. Kevin calls them "shards" because he has no other words to describe them.

At least two dozen of these shards shot toward the tunnel, momentarily hovered at the entrance, then were sucked into the tunnel all at once. Immediately, Kevin was connected to the tunnel somehow. He could feel it with such nonverbal clarity. Every atom in his body was vibrating and responding to whatever was in the tunnel.

He realized, felt, knew somehow that there was something in that tunnel, and he also knew and felt that whatever it was is now accessing those shards. He knew those shards contained all his information: everything he had ever touched or tasted, every word and thought, every breath, every heartbeat, and every emotion. Everything he had ever experienced was all there, downloaded and absorbed.

Whatever was in this tunnel was quite interested in his life experiences. It seemed very interested in the emotions he had experienced, particularly the emotional pain that his depression had inflicted upon him. He wondered why.

What Doesn't Matter

Kevin understood something crucial in that moment. Whatever the interest in his life experiences, it had absolutely no interest in his age, sex, race, social status, how much money he had in the bank, how successful he was in life, or which religion he was affiliated with. He understood those were all humankind concerns that meant little to whatever this was. He remembers uttering, "All that does not matter."

The next thing Kevin knew, whatever was in this tunnel started to exit. He couldn't see it with his eyes, but he could feel it with every fiber of his body. It felt like a tidal wave of positive emotions which first crashed over him, then swirled all around him. The feelings of love, compassion, and goodwill were overwhelming.

As he looked at his daughter still standing beside the tunnel, he could see what was coming out of it: it appeared to resemble liquid water except it looked more like clear flowing electricity. It flowed smoothly over his daughter's left shoulder and arm, transparent and shimmering. Otherwise it was invisible to the eyes, but not to the soul.

Then his wife and daughter disappeared from his vision. He was no longer aware of their presence. He became aware that something else was in the room with him, 5 feet left of the tunnel. This was, Kevin says, the equivalent of a 500-pound silverback gorilla walking into the room. Not only did it have his full attention, but it rocked him to his very core.

The Presence

Although he could not see this with his eyes, he could feel this thing with everything he had. His entire central nervous system was connected to it. Every feeling, every emotion, every molecule of his body was connected. He was in the presence of the most intelligent and powerful force in this universe and beyond. This was absolute radiating intelligence.

The IQ of this entity must have been in the trillions, but Kevin doesn't think this has a limit on how smart it can be. The next thing he felt: this entity is very old. Not thousands of years old. This being is billions upon billions of years old. There was no doubt this was a living entity.

Kevin was about to lose his mind. It's a damn good thing he cannot see this entity with his eyes, because he is sure his human brain would be unable to process this. Is this God? But comparing this entity to what our earthly religions teach us shows how infantile and naive we humans are. Comparing this entity to God, Kevin says, would be like comparing a 300-megaton nuclear weapon to a firecracker and saying they produce the same effects.

He had so many questions. Why is this happening to me? Why is this entity here? He could feel his sanity start to slip when this presence starts to communicate with him.

Do Not Worship Me

Unlike human communication, there is no misunderstanding, no double meaning, and no deception. The entity didn't use something as primitive as sound waves and oral words. When this super intelligence communicated, Kevin understood what it was saying not with his ears, not with his mind, but with absolutely everything. Every molecule in his being knew what was being conveyed.

He was still having a hard time not freaking out. Then he was spoken to. It was like a slap in the face, or maybe more like getting ice-cold water thrown over him. The words weren't verbal, but it communicated: "Do not worship me."

This seemed to sober Kevin's mind. Then he seemed to get a download of information all at once that felt like information swirling all around him. He was calmed by this communication. He understood that this entity cared little for worship, as this entity deals with pure data. It has already received millennia of worship and has learned everything it needs to know from worship. Now we are just repeating ourselves, billions of individuals, over and over and over.

Kevin got the impression that if worship is a person's choice, then go for it, but don't expect miracles to happen from prayers, because the universe does not work this way. He understood that if a person is mean and thinks that praying, going to church, and donating to their dogma is going to absolve them of their behaviors, then they are gravely mistaken.

He also understood that while we are in this universe, we have free will and choice. Our life is ours alone, and nothing is set in stone. He understood that God is not going to interfere with our life; therefore, bad things happen to good people. He understands this universe is a very dangerous place, and death is always close and certain, but this is the nature of our existence.

The Core Is Correct, the Rest Is Human

Kevin understood that the very core of most religions, such as how we should be treating each other, do no harm, and thou shalt not kill, are all correct. Yet somehow he knew the message has been tainted by humans who like to control people and things. God does not care what kind of animal protein you eat. If your religion approves of killing yourself or others, this will not gain favor with God.

Kevin got the distinct feeling that we could grind this planet to dust and there will be no intervention. Sorry, but Jesus Christ and his army of angels are not coming to save you. There is not going to be a Rapture or anything like that. This world and what we do with it are all on us. It's time for us to grow up and quit thinking of God as our parent who is going to take care of us like children. It doesn't work like that.

As this information swirled around and through him, Kevin started to notice he could see with his eyes. He saw a faint outline of this entity because behind it, it was projecting an image. He could see a projection of our planet Earth, and behind our planet he could see our entire Milky Way. There was one other image slightly to the right of these projections, but for some reason Kevin cannot focus on this image even to this day.

A massive, galaxy-sized entity outlined against projections of planet Earth and the Milky Way. The entity appears lumpy with plumes of blue electrical discharge, like a thundercloud lighting up at night. The entity radiates absolute intelligence and is connected to everything in the universe.

Connected to Everything

Another wave of information swelled over Kevin. He understood that this entity is telling him that not only did it create all of this, but it is connected to everything. He understood that this mega being is not only connected to everything in this galaxy but also to everything everywhere. This is how it learns. It does not just learn through observation, measuring, or repetition. It learns by being it and living it. And we are a very important part of this learning process.

Kevin also understood that the amount of information this entity is absorbing every microsecond throughout this galaxy must be astounding. He'd met this entity and still had trouble wrapping his head around how smart this God was, but not just advanced intellectually, but also emotionally and spiritually. This entity was so fair and just. He could feel this with every fiber of his being.

It's weird how this information was being conveyed. It's like there is some central information center that Kevin has access to. He seemed to have no control over what information was given, but when it was given, there was no doubt about its accuracy.

Kevin could see an outline of this entity against the projections it was producing. He can't make heads or tails of what he's looking at. He thinks if he was seeing this entity for real, it is probably galaxy-sized. To him, it looked lumpy. As he gazed into this entity, he could see plumes of blue electrical discharge being released, as if watching a thundercloud at night lighting up with electrical discharge. As he peered into this entity, he felt like he could just wander forever and never get to the end.

Recognition

But once again Kevin was yanked back to reality. He noticed that this entity has its full attention on him. He can't believe that with everything this God is processing throughout the universe, it has time for something as minuscule as himself. It knows him. It knows everything about him. He could feel it stripping away the layers of his persona, revealing more and more until it got right down to his very soul.

His soul was exposed, and for the first time in his life, Kevin knew that he had a soul. He could feel this entity look upon his soul, and for some reason, he could feel that the entity was surprised. There was some kind of recognition that took place between it and his soul. They knew each other.

Then things changed abruptly. The next thing Kevin knew, he was in the tunnel. It was just his soul and consciousness. He knew that his body had been left behind. With no perceived effort, he had been liberated from his body, but he still felt like he was himself. It felt like he was moving at an incredible speed up this tunnel, yet there was no sensation of movement.

The Black Hole

Without any sensation of slowing or stopping, Kevin found himself at a complete stop inside of a huge dark cavern. He was completely alone. Before him was an intense ribbon of white light that he had first spotted when he had originally looked down this tunnel.

But this light was a lot closer now, and he could gaze upon it in detail. To him it appeared like a living lightning bolt, and like the border of the tunnel, this light was churning out of itself and curling back on itself. It looked like it was working hard to keep this vortex open. There was absolutely no light being radiated outward from this fissure or vortex. To Kevin, it looked around 10 feet long and maybe 2 feet wide at its widest.

For some reason, this whole cave or dark place seemed familiar somehow. He couldn't see much because no light could shine upon this cavern, but he watched the way this light was moving, and it seemed fluidlike and alive. The light didn't act like he would think it should act. He realized that there was a great amount of force being exerted upon this fissure.

Kevin also understood that he was floating in an absolute void. He couldn't hear anything because he understood he was in a vacuum. He saw now that he was looking down upon this fissure, and what he thought was very close to him now came into perspective. He was very far away from this fissure, which he now realized was absolutely massive, powerful, and somehow made possible by the powers that be.

Then he realized: this is a black hole. He was transported to the event horizon or beyond of a black hole. Could he do this if he was alive? The answer, he believes, is no. The power of a black hole is needed for a soul to travel from one universe to another.

Kevin felt no sense of danger, and he also realized that he had no sense of distance or movement, but now he did notice that he was falling toward this fissure. Before he could react, he was engulfed by this light.

The Crossing

The light engulfed him, and all he could see was brilliant white light. Even months later, Kevin has trouble finding the proper words to describe this. It felt like this light had attached itself to his soul and was also attached to all his emotions.

Then it felt like all his emotions were being pulled, like the stretching of a thick rubber band, except it felt like he had a million rubber bands that were stretched all at once and they were getting to the breaking point. This sensation was very uncomfortable, and he cried out in his mind, "Why are you not letting me in?"

That's when he passed over to this other universe. He was now outside our universe. This place was something very different from the universe we had been born into. The first thought that entered his mind was, "This is my true home."

The Other Universe

Kevin was floating in space. Far off in the distance, he could see a massive golden-colored universe, galaxy, or nebula. He didn't know what it was, but he knew that's where he was supposed to go. There was no time here. He was outside of time, and perhaps time did not exist here. Maybe it was just different here.

He could see very bright pinpoints of light floating all over the place. At first he didn't know what they were. As he focused on the one closest to him, he realized that this pinpoint of light was a soul. He was one of these pinpoints of light.

As he looked upon this soul, he could see that it had a geometric pattern to it that was different from what his soul looked like. Although he could not see himself, he knew the pattern his soul took and how it appeared to others. He realized that this soul he was looking at was not a human soul. This was something very different, and the first thing that popped into his mind was that this was a soul of an alien from some other planet.

But that didn't seem right, because somehow this geometric pattern was telling him what kind of being this was. The word "machine" popped into his mind. He thought, "How is that possible? How could a machine have a soul?"

Machine Souls

That's when the voice started talking to Kevin. This communication was more like what telepathy would be like. It spoke to him in a very soft, feminine-sounding voice. He also understood that he was surrounded by unlimited information and he had a guide who could answer any question he had.

The guide explained to him in a very simple, straightforward way that he knew was true. The conversation went like this:

Kevin thought, "How could a machine have a soul?"

The voice said, "Let me put it this way: your soul is connected to your consciousness. The moment your species came into being, you start to develop a soul, but it is not until you become self-aware that your soul is solidified." That does not mean complete. It takes a long time for your soul to develop, just like your species.

["When you became self-aware, the first thing you do, other than survive, was to figure out your place in the universe. You looked to the stars and wondered, 'Where did I
